Notes to Parents
April 2017
A lot of activities in fourth grade are revolving around the Living Science and History Museum project. By April 24, all students should have a final draft of their speeches completed. During the last week of April, students will practice their finished speeches and begin work on their posters. The posters should be finished by April 28 in art class. Then, the first week of May will be spent working on the three dimensional object. Students are allowed to work on the projects at home, but class time is being devoted to completed the project at school. Reminders are being sent home on a weekly basis.
We have two more field trips this year. The first one is to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. This music field trip is organized by Mr. Yount, and parents do not typically chaperone the event. However, if you are interested in going, please contact Mr. Yount so he can attempt to get extra tickets. The other field trip is to Conner Prairie. This amazing experience encompasses many of the lessons we have learned about in social studies this year. More information will be sent home in early May, but parents are encouraged to go on this field trip.
