Science and History Museum Projects
Final Letter
May 6, 2014
Dear Room 110 and 111 Parents and Students,
Hopefully everyone is coming close to completing their projects for the Science and History Museum Night on Wednesday, May 14th. Although the speeches have been written in class, students should be practicing them at home. We recommend that students have a typed copy of their speech pasted onto a piece of construction paper, so it can be used in case they forget their speech.
They should also MEMORIZE this speech so it can be used at Science and History Museum Night whenever someone “pushes your button”.
MORE EXPLANATION
If you’ve ever been to a museum, you have seen “buttons” that you can push to hear a recorded message. Well, students are going to repeat the paragraph they wrote and memorized every time someone pushes the button!
IMPORTANT DATES
Monday, May 12th – Speeches are due. Grading will happen in class.
Tuesday May 13th – Posterboard and Projects are due.
Wednesday, May 14th - Costumes should be brought into school in the morning for dress rehearsal in the afternoon. The LIVING SCIENCE AND HISTORY MUSEUM WILL BE HELD FROM 6:15 TO 7:00 IN THE GYM. Invitations will be sent home on Tuesday.
On the back of this paper is a checklist to help you determine what still needs to be done prior to Museum Night.
Thanks!
Mr. Spahr and Mrs. Retz
